Every home router has a default gateway IP address you can type into a browser to access its admin panel. Use the table below to find your router's login page. If you're unsure which IP your router uses, open a command prompt and run ipconfig (Windows) or ip route | grep default (Linux/Mac) to find your Default Gateway.

How to Find Your Router's IP Address

Not sure which IP your router uses? Follow these steps to find your Default Gateway:

How to Log In to Your Router

  1. Make sure your device is connected to the router (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable).
  2. Open any web browser and type the router's IP address in the address bar (e.g. http://192.168.1.1).
  3. Enter your username and password. Try admin / admin if you haven't changed them, or check the label on the back of your router.
  4. Once logged in, you can change Wi-Fi settings, passwords, port forwarding, DNS, and more.
